2CRSi Targets Over $1.12 Billion Revenue From Aether's 90-Hectare AI Infrastructure Deal in Strasbourg, France
Discover 2CRSi's €1B AI data center project in Strasbourg as Aether Infrastructures signs a deal for a 90-hectare site, reshoring GODì server production.

A preliminary sale agreement signed on Friday, 9 October 2026, has set in motion the conversion of the former General Motors and Punch Powerglide site in Strasbourg, now known as Dumarey Powerglide, into what is intended to become Europe's largest industrial site dedicated to artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The announcement, made by 2CRSi (ISIN: FR0013341781), designer and manufacturer of high-performance, energy-efficient servers, confirms that Aether Infrastructures has secured the rights to the roughly 90-hectare complex in the Port du Rhin district, to be developed under the ÆTHER project as the FR-SXB2 site.
In parallel with the sale agreement, a lease has been signed allowing the areas of the site that are already available to be occupied from 15 October 2026 so that the first stages of the project can be prepared.
2CRSi projects more than one billion dollars from the AI Factory's initial capacity
For 2CRSi, a member of the ÆTHER consortium and the prospective supplier of the site's servers, the financial stakes are substantial.
The company estimates that the roll-out of the AI Factory's initial computing capacity over the 2026-2027 financial year represents revenue potential for the Group of more than one billion dollars. This outlook comes with caveats.
According to 2CRSi, a delay in obtaining permits or in the availability of components could defer all or part of the deliveries beyond the close of the Group's current financial year, which ends in late June 2027.
GODì production to be reshored to Strasbourg
The FR-SXB2 site also advances 2CRSi's industrial strategy. In addition to the product ranges already manufactured in Strasbourg and Manchester, the Group intends to reshore to the new site part of the value added of the production chain for its GODì server range.
The first phase of this reshoring will cover the integration of main components, processors, DRAM memory, and SSD storage. In a second phase, 2CRSi will also produce motherboards, described as the foundation of every computer server.
The company states that this will enable the creation of a supply chain for the electronic components required for artificial intelligence servers.
A campus built around three entities
Across the 90-hectare footprint, Aether Infrastructures plans an integrated ecosystem covering the manufacturing of computing infrastructure, its operation, the energy that powers it, and research activities.
The project is organized around three entities.
Aether Utilities will produce, secure, and distribute the site's energy; Aether Facilities will hold the campus and its buildings; and Aether Compute will operate an AI Factory providing sovereign computing capacity to businesses, public-sector bodies, and the research community for training and running artificial intelligence models, with an offer spanning data centre services, dedicated server rental (bare metal), and cloud services delivered together with the partners and members of the ÆTHER consortium.
Server and module manufacturing under Industry 5.0 principles
At the heart of the project, the site will host, together with 2CRSi, an industrial facility capable of designing, assembling, integrating, testing, and qualifying high-performance servers and AI Factory modules.
These modules will be pre-integrated and factory-tested before commissioning, forming complete compute building blocks ready to be deployed on the site itself or delivered to third-party customers. A mechanical and electronic prototyping and production centre will support this activity, accelerating the transition from design to series production.
With around 110,000 m² of buildings, the site aims to become, in time, Europe's largest industrial site dedicated to artificial intelligence infrastructure. The workshops are being designed according to Industry 5.0 principles.
They will be reconfigured to keep pace with rapidly evolving technologies, will combine automation and collaborative robots with the know-how of the teams, and will form part of the site's energy and circular-economy approach.
This industrial capacity is intended to help bring the manufacturing of artificial intelligence infrastructure back to Europe, serving future AI Factories and European cloud providers.
On-site decarbonised energy and heat recovery
Energy supply is a central pillar of the project. Beyond the 25 MW supplied by Strasbourg Électricité Réseaux, several solutions are being studied to increase the site's energy capacity and improve its overall carbon footprint.
These include a secured power supply and energy storage capacity with SOCOMEC, as well as a biomass thermolysis unit generating electricity with cooling cogeneration, studied with Haffner Energy, which would produce renewable electricity on-site.
Depending on the configuration selected, and thanks to the production of biochar, this could give the site a net-negative carbon footprint. A heat network will also be created to recover the heat released by the servers.
Dedicated biomass crops for a sustainable fuel supply
The ÆTHER project also provides for the long-term development of dedicated biomass crops to ensure a sustainable supply of fuel for thermolysis. The process would produce biochar as a by-product, which the announcement says could allow the site to achieve a net-negative carbon footprint depending on the configuration selected.
The combination of on-site renewable electricity production, heat recovery from the servers, and a circular-economy approach to energy forms a central part of the project's stated ambition to deliver sovereign, responsible, and sustainable AI infrastructure.
A historic industrial complex finds a new role
The Dumarey Powerglide site, whose history includes its former identities as Punch Powerglide and General Motors, occupies around 90 hectares in the Port du Rhin district of Strasbourg.
Its acquisition by Aether Infrastructures under the ÆTHER project is positioned by the companies as the rebirth of a historic industrial complex into an integrated European hub for artificial intelligence, combining server manufacturing, AI Factory operations, energy production and research under a single framework, with the lease already enabling preparatory work to begin from 15 October 2026.
