North America holds the most tracked projects, 2,505 or 49% of the pipeline, followed by Europe (1,315) and Asia-Pacific (929).
By announced investment, North America leads with $6.33 trillion and also has the largest average ticket, $2.5 billion per project.
Construction is furthest along in the Middle East, where 57% of tracked projects are past contract award, compared with 26% in Africa.

Tracked planned capacity is measured in hundreds of gigawatts across all stages, with the largest single AI campuses now exceeding 1 GW on their own. The database records planned and contracted MW per project so you can size any market precisely rather than relying on headline estimates.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia pair sovereign capital with abundant low-cost power and fast permitting, which lets multi-gigawatt AI campuses move from announcement to construction in a fraction of the time a comparable project needs in a congested Western grid. Cooling load in the desert climate is the main offsetting cost.
Data quality and methodology
Analysts read primary sources in the local language: municipal filings, environmental approvals, utility interconnection dockets, tender portals, and company disclosures. Every record cites the source document and date, so you can trace any figure back to its origin.
Gross and IT MW are captured separately per phase, and capital expenditure is converted to USD with the local-currency figure and conversion date retained. That makes a campus in Malaysia directly comparable to one in Ireland.
