AdaniConneX Secures 14 MW AI Capacity Deal with OneQode at Chennai's Siruseri Sipcot Campus

Singapore-headquartered AI infrastructure operator OneQode has entered into an agreement with AdaniConneX, one of India's fastest-growing data center providers, covering 14 MW of capacity at Siruseri SIPCOT in Chennai.

Announced on 28 October 2026, the deal represents OneQode's first major AI infrastructure deployment in India and includes a stated path to up to 114 MW of additional capacity across the country.

Talks Underway on up to 114 MW of Additional Capacity

Beyond the initial Chennai commitment, OneQode and AdaniConneX are continuing discussions on further capacity opportunities in India as the operator grows its AI infrastructure footprint and customer demand increases.

The company describes the agreement as establishing a foundation for this expansion. Johnny Blackfield, Chief Growth Officer and President, EMEA & India at OneQode, said India is becoming one of the most important markets for AI infrastructure globally.

According to Blackfield, working with AdaniConneX provides a strong foundation to build at scale in Chennai, with the initial 14 MW secured and ongoing talks on additional capacity of up to 114 MW as demand grows. He cited the combination of infrastructure, competitive operating costs, and room to scale as making India a compelling market for the company's customers.

What the Chennai Site Will Support

The deployment is intended to host large-scale AI training and inference, enterprise AI workloads, and sovereign AI workloads. It forms part of OneQode's broader Asia-Pacific AI infrastructure expansion, which also includes a deployment in Thailand. OneQode plans to pair the large-scale compute capacity at the Chennai site with its own low-latency global carrier network.

The company operates licensed carrier services and has deployment capability across more than 30 data centers on five continents, and the Chennai facility will connect into that existing infrastructure. OneQode says this extends its ability to serve AI workloads across strategic global markets.

Its platform is designed around customers' capacity, connectivity, location and sovereignty requirements, with an established compliance framework that supports sovereign AI deployments in strategic markets. The company serves frontier model providers, enterprise buyers and AI-native companies across AI training, inference and enterprise workloads.

India's Position Between EMEA and Asia-Pacific

OneQode regards India's geographic position between EMEA and Asia-Pacific as strategically significant for its global AI infrastructure platform. As inference workloads become increasingly latency-sensitive, the company sees the country as an important location for serving workloads across both regions.

AMD Relationship Frames the Rollout

The Chennai deployment builds on OneQode's collaboration with AMD, announced in May 2026, to deploy AMD Instinct GPUs, with plans for the AMD Helios rack-scale solution as part of its wider AI infrastructure rollout. That relationship developed through 2026: OneQode joined the AMD Instinct GPU Evaluation Program in August 2026, and in July 2026 it announced it was ramping up its Asia-Pacific AI buildout with new deployments in India and Thailand.

Part of a Wider Year of Expansion

The Chennai agreement is the latest in a series of infrastructure announcements from OneQode in 2026. In May 2026, the company signed a 110 MW binding letter with Bitzero for an AI site in Norway, indicating the scale of its global expansion ambitions alongside its Asia-Pacific push.

The deal places OneQode alongside AdaniConneX in one of India's growing data center markets, with the initial 14 MW commitment serving as an entry point that could scale significantly if the discussions on up to 114 MW of additional capacity come to fruition as demand for AI compute in the region grows.
