Sabey Corporation and National Real Estate Advisors, LLC announced on October 5, 2026, that Ares Secondaries funds have made an additional minority equity investment in Sabey Data Center Properties, LLC.
Second Capital Infusion Comes Three Months After Initial Deal
The follow-on commitment lifts Ares' total investment in the data center platform to more than USD 500 million and arrives fewer than three months after the investor's first commitment, which was disclosed in July 2026.
The joint venture partners said the expanded investment brings Sabey Corporation, National Real Estate Advisors, and Ares into alignment around SDCP's continued growth and its capacity to serve customers in what the companies describe as an increasingly data-driven economy.
The additional capital is intended to support SDCP's expansion as demand for hyperscale and enterprise data center capacity rises across the markets where the platform operates.
Leadership at All Three Firms Weighs In
Kevin Verdi, Executive Vice President & Chief Investment Officer at National Real Estate Advisors, said the follow-on investment reflects continued conviction in SDCP's long-term value proposition and growth trajectory. He added that the firm remains focused on disciplined growth and delivering the digital infrastructure needed to support the next generation of cloud and AI demand.
Tim Mirick, President of Sabey Data Center Properties, said the company is pleased to deepen its relationship with Ares as it executes on its long-term growth strategy. In his view, the additional commitment reflects confidence in the strength of the platform and its ability to develop and operate the mission-critical infrastructure its customers depend on.
Jamie Sunday, Co-Head of Real Estate Secondaries at Ares, said the firm is pleased to expand its investment in SDCP and to build on its relationship with the Sabey and National teams, citing significant runway for growth.
275 Megawatts Operating, 737 MW in Sight by 2033
SDCP is a fully integrated data center platform that owns and operates hyperscale and enterprise data center campuses in top-tier United States data center markets. Its operating portfolio currently stands at 275 megawatts, and an expansion pipeline is expected to reach approximately 737 MW by 2033.
More broadly, Sabey Data Centers holds a portfolio of more than four million square feet of mission-critical space, positioning it among the largest privately owned multi-tenant data center owners, developers, and operators in the country.
The company focuses on scalable, custom-built data center solutions known for efficiency, low total cost of ownership, operational maturity, and sustained uptime, and serves many of the world's leading financial, technology, and healthcare companies.
SDCP is structured as a joint venture between Sabey Corporation and National Real Estate Advisors, with National serving as investment manager for its institutional clients.

A Busy 2026 for Sabey Beyond the Ares Deal
The expanded Ares commitment follows other Sabey announcements made this year. In July 2026, the company held a "Going Vertical" ceremony at SDC Umatilla, a new data center campus in Northeast Oregon, marking construction progress.
In late August, Sabey Data Centers detailed the investment, employment, and community benefits tied to its proposed data center campus in Decatur Township.
